Gerontologist and Founder

Dr. Jacqueline Dupont-Carlson has more than 30 years of professional experience serving older adults and the Alzheimer’s and dementia community. She is the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Dupont Residential Care, Inc., and Irvine Cottages Memory Care, and the former owner of Vista Gardens. She currently serves as CEO of Assured In Home Care, Inc., providing care and support to families throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties.

Jacqueline graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.S. in Neurosciences and earned her M.S. in Gerontology and M.A. in Public Health Care Administration from the University of Southern California (USC). She also earned a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Notre Dame and her Doctorate in Psychology from Ashbourne College. She subsequently earned her Doctorate in Education (EdD) in Organizational Development from USC and most recently completed her third doctorate in Longevity Studies through the USC School of Gerontology.

Jacqueline has published academic articles and developed training programs for caregivers of older adults living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as addressing systemic and structural ageism within the healthcare system. She has served on more than nine nonprofit and for-profit boards, including more than 27 years on the Board of Alzheimer’s Orange County.

In 2022, Jacqueline was honored with the National Philanthropy Outstanding Philanthropist Award. Dr. Dupont-Carlson has been featured by CNN, Dateline, Fox News, and the Orange County Register, among numerous other media outlets and publications. She continues to advance the aging community through her professional leadership, philanthropic efforts, and ongoing commitment to improving the lives of older adults and their families through Assured In Home Care.

We have been using Assured, specifically the caregiver David for my Uncle for the past several months. He has been absolutely amazing for my uncle. He has been attentive, engaging, helpful, kind and compassionate. The staff at Assured have really listened and understood all of our expectations and needs. They have fulfilled every request with grace. We highly recommend Assured, Gabby, who runs the office and David our caregiver.
